About Mechanical Engineering Department
Faculty and laboratory staff of the department is dedicated towards providing high quality learning to the students
through class room teaching, laboratory work and research projects The department is offering BE course in
Mechanical Engineering and M. Tech. course in Thermal Engineering respectively. Teacher guardian is assigned to
a group of students who looks after their academics, discipline and other related issues. Department of Mechanical
Engineering was established in the institute in year 2007. Department is equipped with the laboratories like
TOM/DOM, Fluid Mechanics, SOM, HMT, RAC, IC Engine, Thermal Engg. etc. The CAD centre has 30 systems of dual
core processor loaded with important design & drafting software’s like AUTOCAD, Solid Edge, PRO-E, CATIA.
Workshop has well equipped shops like-Machine, Welding, Fitting, Carpentry, Smithy & Foundry.
The department regularly organizes events like workshops, conferences, industrial trainings and expert
lectures. The department is sincerely involved in the overall development of each and every student.
Regular interaction takes place between parent/guardian and faculties to brief them regarding the progress
of their wards. A mentor is assigned to every student to guide him/her from time to time in academics as
well as matter related to enhancing professional pursuits.
