About the Department
The Department of Electrical Engineering is a blend of teaching and research activities pertaining to
Electrical Engineering. Electrical Engineering focuses on the study of generation, transmission,
storage and utilization of electrical energy and processing and storage of related information.
EE deals with electrical energy, power generation and supply systems. Electrical Power engineering
has emerged as an important domain. Control engineering is related with the need for accurate control
equipments in Electrical and Chemical plants and industrial machinery. Urbanization and upcoming
residential and commercial multiplexes have considerably enhanced the need for Electrical Engineering.
