Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering run the Bechlor of Eningienering Course in EC a 4 year Degree course and M.Tech in Digital Comm. and VLSI Design a 2 year Degree course which is Affilated to Rajeev Gandhi Vishwvidalaya, Bhopal and Approved by AICTE New Delhi.

The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering started in year 2003. The department has experienced, qualified and dedicated faculty members in various areas such as communications, VLSI, signal processing, embedded systems and computer engineering, who inspire the students to face the competitive world. Currently all the faculty members are post graduate.

Electronics and Communications Engineering department is committed to continuously improve the quality of education by enhancing the knowledge of student and staff members. The department faculty members are involved in organization of workshops/conferences for constant up gradation of skills and knowledge. The other important features of the department are: department library, individual counselling of students for academic performance, additional coaching classes for important subjects, theme based mini projects at lower semesters, soft skill development classes, scientific and student centered teaching-learning process.

The department helps to maintain the right blend of theory and practice and enables the students to have a firm grasp of basic principles in enhancing their ability to design practical circuits and connections. Since its inception, the department has progressed rapidly and is now regarded as one of the premier departments of this college, with excellent infrastructure and dedicated faculty members. The course contents for each semester have been analyzed in every aspect and have constantly been revised and upgraded in order to give the students a holistic and pragmatic view of the present scenario of the Electronics and Communication industry as well as a grounding in the concepts and theories that will shape the future of the IT industry.

There are many good opportunities for jobs available after completing B.E. ECE. One can start a career by entering into State Government department jobs. To get a job in the government sector, one has to qualify in the written test conducted by State Public Service Commission.

There are also many opportunities in the Central government departments like Defence, Railways, All India Radio, Airport Authority of India, Post and Telegraph, Indian Engineering Services, etc. One can get a job in Central Government departments by qualifying in the tests conducted by Union of Public Service Commission (UPSC) and Staff Selection Commission (SSC).
